God DOES want us to get rich! Why would he have allowed massive loopholes in the Australian tax system- eg. Sanitarium, no tax= rich SDA bastards!!!
yeah the tax issue .. thats a biggie
if you have any doubts as to the fact that God wants you to be stinking filthy rich have a look at "you need more money" by Brian Houston... hey if Brian tells me!!?

God doesn't want us to be rich or poor but faithful loving and obedient...
i don't argue that it is morally wrong to be rich (although it is arguable but thats not what im on about here)
i argue against the false doctrine that says 'if you believe in God and have enough faith then God will make you rich'
this is an obvious lie.. St Peter and St Paul along with thousands of other faithful Christians gave all they had away, anything they held was in common, they had incredible faith compassion and grace... did they recieve riches on earth like some would say you should? no they were put to death

The dangers of such doctrines like the prosperity doctrine (name it claim it piffle) is sincerely minded people get caught up in the lie, are not discerning and follow the ideas of man instead of God. God looks at the heart not at the wallet or the investment portfolio or real estate investments.
Stop press: Oh wait I'm getting a revelation just now from Brain - there has been a change of scripture - He says I do need more money.
if we are guilty of greed its for being greedy for Gods kingdom to grow!
as we all should be... but with mans will being totally depraved we are more likely to be saying 'lord give me 10 million and i will give 90% away'
in other words give me a million lord...
